A raw, honest story about going from $1.6 million in GCI to $704,000 in debt — and the one phone call that changed everything. Sometimes the most powerful business strategy is simply telling the truth about where you are.

A few years ago, I was living two completely different lives.
The one the world saw... and the one that was eating me alive at 2am.
In 2017, I did 1.6 million in GCI.
Paid off my Range Rover.
Zero credit card debt.
I had arrived. Or at least that's what I told myself.
Then I shut it all down to start a health and wellness venture.
And it nearly destroyed me.
By 2021 I had accumulated $704,224 in debt.
Hard money loans.
Credit cards maxed.
Borrowed from family.
A 418 credit score.
I remember staring at my phone at night scared to answer it because I didn't know if it was a debt collector.
I wasn't telling anyone.
I was showing up online like everything was fine.
It wasn't fine.
The thing that got me out wasn't a secret strategy or a lucky break.
It was a phone call with my mentor, Sharran Srivatsaa, where I finally told the truth about where I was.
He asked what I needed.
I told him I needed to be around other salespeople and invest in coaching.
He wired me the money that day.
I don't know why.
I just know he believed in me more than I believed in myself in that moment.
I paid back almost all of that debt in under a year.
Not by grinding harder.
By going back to the industry that once gave me everything, with sharper skills, a clearer head, and the right people around me.
That experience is why I show up the way I do for agents today.
Because I know what it feels like to be in the dark and not know the way out.
And I know how fast things can change when you get the right diagnosis and a real plan.
