Most agents focus on getting more leads, but the real issue usually shows up later in the process. When conversations don’t turn into appointments, it’s a sign something deeper needs attention.

Last month, there was this weird leak in my apartment.
Not a huge one.
Just enough to be annoying.
So I called a plumber.
Let’s call him Steve.
Steve shows up, takes one quick look under the sink in the service room and says: “Ah yeah, classic pipe seal issue. Easy fix.”
Cool. A couple hundred dollars later, he’s gone.
Two days pass.
The leak comes back.
& so bad that the sink falls off the wall.
Now I’m pissed.
So I call a different guy.
This one? Quiet. Sharp.
He doesn’t rush.
He listens.
Checks a few other spots.
Then he looks at me and says something I’ll never forget: “You don’t have a pipe problem. You’ve got pressure buildup in the wall behind your washer. That’s where it starts, your sink is just where it shows up.”
Boom.
Diagnosed.
Fixed it.
No more leak.
Now… let’s talk about your leads.
Because a lot of agents and setters come to us saying the same thing:
“I need more leads. More convos. More traffic.”
But when we actually run the numbers, guess what?
Most of them are converting less than 5% of their convos into appointments.
Let me say that again: You’re having 20 real estate conversations a week and maybe going on 1 appointment.
Most people? Even less.
That's not a lead problem.
That’s a conversion problem.
Here’s the real problem: You're diagnosing the sink… but the pressure’s building somewhere else.
Instead of tracking:
– Convo ➝ Appointment
– Appointment ➝ Sale
You’re trying to fix it with more ad spend, more cold DMs, more lead sources...
When the truth is, most agents haven’t even nailed ONE funnel or process.
They're Frankensteining together scripts, winging their calls, hoping things change.
Sound harsh?
It is. But it’s also the truth.
One guy told me, dead serious:
“I close 95% of my appointments.”
Then he starts telling me about all the people who said:
“I want to wait until the market changes.”
“I’m not ready right now.”
“Can you check back in 6 months?”
My man.
If someone says they’re waiting and you can’t get them to move forward?
Your process didn’t work.
And I get it, some folks have legit timing issues.
But most of the time?
It’s not the client. It’s your process.
Think about McDonald’s.
Why did they scale so fast?
Why did they dominate a saturated, competitive space?
Because they didn’t wing it.
They engineered a predictable, repeatable system that turns strangers into buyers... fast.
Most agents?
They're just winging it.
No scripts.
No diagnosis.
No math.
So here’s the truth:
It’s not your fault the industry told you that you need 5 sources to succeed.
It’s not your fault you were never taught to diagnose your sales process.
But it is your responsibility to fix it.
If the math ain’t mathing…
And the bank account ain’t banking…
It’s time to stop guessing.
If you want help fixing this,
If you want to finally see where your process is leaking and how to fix it...
